Based on an analysis done in 2013, the suicide rate for Veterans is 30 per 100K, compared to the civilian rate of 14 per 100K. Every 22 seconds, a service member or veteran takes their own life.
PTSD RATING
Veterans who receive VA disability for PTSD related to service are, on average, rated 70 percent. VA’s rating criteria state that a 70 percent PTSD rating reflects impairments in most areas, such as work, school, family relationships, judgment, thinking, and mood.
